Overview:
At the end of last year, the International Rescue Committee officially placed Sudan at the top of its 2024 emergency watchlist due to its escalating civil war, widespread displacement, and near collapse of essential services. As the conflict continues, it becomes increasingly important for the international community to engage meaningfully and provide support.
On August 12, join us to hear from Sudan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Al-Harith Idriss al-Harith Mohamed and gain firsthand insights into the region’s current crisis. In partnership with the Stirling Foundation, this event will also include a moderated Q&A session, giving Utah business and community leaders a unique opportunity to learn directly from one of Sudan’s most senior leaders about the conflict, its regional implications, and how Utah organizations are engaging to provide relief.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Stirling Foundation, the Baskerville Institute, and the Hinckley Institute.
